Our France Michelin Retreat invites you to stay on the iconic Fleur de Loire estate, a 17th century Renaissance châteaux now transformed to a 5 Star, Relais & Châteaux, and 1 Michelin Key Luxury hotel.

The experience will include a wine paired tasting menu and exclusive private cooking class with 2* Star Michelin Chef Christophe Hay and his team, a private wine tasting and lunch at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 16th century Château de Chambord, and menus from the region’s best restaurants.

The Loire Valley, often called the 'Garden of France,' is renowned for its stunning châteaux, picturesque vineyards, and rich history. It's famous for producing some of France's best wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc, and for being the birthplace of the French Renaissance.
The valley's charming towns, like Tours and Amboise, and its cultural heritage make it a UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, it is known for its historical significance, as it was a favored residence of French kings and aristocracy.
In addition to world-class wines, Michelin-starred restaurants are a staple of the region, showcasing refined French cuisine using the finest local ingredients. The Fleur de Loire hotel is a 17th-century château originally commissioned by the Duke of Orléans, brother to King Louis XIII. Located in Blois, a town rich in royal history, the structure was part of his broader plan to assert his influence and create a luxurious estate that rivaled those of his brother, the reigning monarch.
Perched on the banks of the Loire River in Blois, this historic masterpiece blends royal heritage with contemporary luxury. It has achieved a 5 Star status, is a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, and the recipient of a coveted 1 Michelin Key for its refined hospitality.

At his 2* Star Michelin restaurant, Fleur de Loire, Chef Christophe Hay crafts extraordinary dining experiences that celebrate the best of the valley’s produce, from its prized fish and caviar to its exceptional vegetables and herbs.

During our Nomad Home retreat, you’ll have the exclusive opportunity to step into Chef Christophe Hay’s kitchen for a Private Michelin Cooking Class. Under his personal guidance, you’ll learn the art of preparing refined dishes with world-class techniques, the best of French cuisine.

Château Chambord: Private Wine Tasting & Lunch at UNESCO World Heritage Site

Originally commissioned by King François I in the 16th century, Château de Chambord stands as the grandest and most architecturally stunning château of the French Renaissance. Designed as a royal hunting lodge and inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, its intricate façade, double-helix staircase, and vast estate reflect France’s golden age of artistry and ambition. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Chambord remains a symbol of royal grandeur and an enduring masterpiece of French history.

During our Nomad Home experience, we’ll indulge in an exclusive wine tasting featuring the finest Loire Valley vintages in a private reserve room (usually closed to the public), before we gather for a private lunch and have the chance to explore the beautiful grounds.

Day 1: Arrival & Michelin Guide Welcome Dinner

Welcome home! After your pick-up from Paris Orly Airport (ORY), you’ll arrive at the luxurious hotel, where you can unwind and refresh before the night ahead.
As the evening unfolds, your retreat begins with a warm welcome dinner, sharing a gourmet menu at an exceptional French restaurant in the Loire Valley. You’ll connect with your new family of fellow travelers with wine flowing through the night.

Day 2: Private 2* Michelin Chef Cooking Class & Château Walk

Start your day with a delicious resort breakfast and prepare to begin an exclusive private cooking class led by 2-star Michelin Chef Christophe Hay and his talented team.
You’ll then enjoy the fruits of your labor with a tasting menu lunch at the 2* Star Michelin restaurant.
In the afternoon, you’ll have a chance to spend time by the beautiful outdoor pool or spa before we head to a medieval town where we’ll have a traditional brasserie dinner.

Day 3: Private Château Chambord Day & Goodbye Dinner

Waking up to a relaxing resort breakfast, you’ll be led to the iconic 16th century Château de Chambord, a UNESCO Heritage Site, and the favorite retreat of French Kings, for an exclusive private experience.
We will enjoy a private wine tasting of Loire Valley and Chambord wines with gourmet canapés from local culinary specialties, set in an elegant private salon within the château, not usually open to the public.
After returning to the resort, unwind at your leisure before we come together for a Goodbye Family Dinner.

FAQ

Transportation, daily breakfast, all activities and meals in the itinerary, and additional Wifi.
Flights are not included.
For our 8 day retreats, all guests will have free time during the day to work as they please as most activities are in the evening or weekend.
For our 4 day retreats, activities will be throughout the day so there will only be pockets of work time. Of course, you can participate as you prefer and if you have specific schedule accommodations, please email (admin@nomad-home.com)
Yes. Please send us an email and indicate what room you’d like, who you would like to be in the room with, and we will take it into consideration in the selection phase.
Yes. Please let us know your room preference and we will work to pair you with another guest if you both select a shared room.
The trip pick-up and drop-off will be at the Bordeaux airport, a 2 hour drive from our villa. Transportation is organized from that specific location, if you have a custom request, we will try our best to help coordinate; subject to additional cost.
Yes, the minimum age is 21 years old for all stays.
Please verify the entrance requirements for your respective country. Many countries are able to have a tourist visa issued at no charge upon arrival. When entering the country, we suggest selecting ‘vacation’ on the immigration form and using the villa’s address; provided at the time of booking.
There is a village about a 15 minutes walk away with the daily essentials, grocery, and restaurants. All tours will have transportation included. If you wish to have your own transportation during weekdays, you can rent a car or bike for personal use.
We will try our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, however require time to plan the options with food/tour providers. Please send us an email with your requests and we will inquire on your behalf: admin@nomad-home.com
If cancelling a booking within 48 hours of placing your booking you will receive a full refund. Please note, the 24 hour period begins when you place your initial booking.

Cancellation after this period incurs cancellation fees, depending on how far in advance you cancel.

If cancelling within:

90 days of the retreat start date - the 1500€ deposit is non-refundable

Within 60 days of the retreat start date - 50% is non-refundable

45 days of the retreat start date - 100% non-refundable
