Our Nomad Home experience will start with a Welcome Tasting Menu and Wine Paired Dinner featuring Fortaleza do Guinchos’ most iconic dishes led by Chef Gil Fernandes.

Fortaleza do Guincho has proudly maintained a Michelin star for 23 consecutive years, the longest-standing achievement in the Lisbon region.

Executive Head Chef Gil Fernandes, who earned this honor at just 28 years old, combines traditional Portuguese ingredients, particularly fresh seafood, with modern techniques and aesthetics, reflecting his experience in multiple prestigious 2- and 3-star Michelin kitchens

There, we will sample his innovative haute cuisine tasting menu that has earned international recognition.

Our Nomad Home experience will feature a Culinary Workshop with the LAB by Sergi Arola team: an immersion of their Michelin starred techniques to create the iconic dishes inspired by Portugal's coastal bounty.

Day 1: Arrival & Michelin Welcome Dinner

Welcome home! After the Lisbon airport pick-up, we will let you settle into your luxurious room before officially meeting your new family.
We will begin the retreat with a tasting menu and wine paired meal at the 1* Star Michelin restaurant Fortaleza do Guincho and sample beautiful seafood that pays homage to the coast of Portugal.

Day 2: Wine Tour & Cascais Visit

After a delicious resort breakfast, you’ll be led across the estate of an iconic 18th century winery, learning it’s rich history. You’ll end the tour with a tasting of their best wines alongside a winery lunch.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach next to the resort or taking some free time before we head out to explore the nearby picturesque town of Cascais and have a town dinner with an optional bar night!

Day 3: Michelin Cooking Class & Goodbye Dinner

After a delicious resort breakfast, prepare to begin the private Nomad Home cooking class led by the Michelin starred LAB by Sergi Arolas team. Immerse yourself in the techniwues of their iconic dishes using hyperlocal ingredients and seafood.
After your class you’ll have time to relax before we head to our Goodbye dinner at a beautiful oceanside Portuguese restaurant.

FAQ

Transportation, daily breakfast, all activities and meals in the itinerary, and additional Wifi.
Flights are not included.
For our 8 day retreats, all guests will have free time during the day to work as they please as most activities are in the evening or weekend.
For our 4 day retreats, activities will be throughout the day so there will only be pockets of work time. Of course, you can participate as you prefer and if you have specific schedule accommodations, please email (admin@nomad-home.com)
Yes. Please send us an email and indicate what room you’d like, who you would like to be in the room with, and we will take it into consideration in the selection phase.
Yes. Please let us know your room preference and we will work to pair you with another guest if you both select a shared room.
The trip pick-up and drop-off will be at the Bordeaux airport, a 2 hour drive from our villa. Transportation is organized from that specific location, if you have a custom request, we will try our best to help coordinate; subject to additional cost.
Yes, the minimum age is 21 years old for all stays.
Please verify the entrance requirements for your respective country. Many countries are able to have a tourist visa issued at no charge upon arrival. When entering the country, we suggest selecting ‘vacation’ on the immigration form and using the villa’s address; provided at the time of booking.
There is a village about a 15 minutes walk away with the daily essentials, grocery, and restaurants. All tours will have transportation included. If you wish to have your own transportation during weekdays, you can rent a car or bike for personal use.
We will try our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, however require time to plan the options with food/tour providers. Please send us an email with your requests and we will inquire on your behalf: admin@nomad-home.com
If cancelling a booking within 48 hours of placing your booking you will receive a full refund. Please note, the 24 hour period begins when you place your initial booking.

Cancellation after this period incurs cancellation fees, depending on how far in advance you cancel.

If cancelling within:

90 days of the retreat start date - the 1500€ deposit is non-refundable

Within 60 days of the retreat start date - 50% is non-refundable

45 days of the retreat start date - 100% non-refundable
