CHIANTI, ITALY: WSET LEVEL 2 WINE EDUCATION

NOMAD HOME WINE SERIES

NOMAD HOME: WINE SERIES

Nomad Home is ecstatic to introduce our new retreat series, where we partner with WSET Wine Awards instructors, sommeliers, and winemakers at the top of their craft to curate educational, bespoke, and unforgettable culinary experiences.

Our WSET 2 Wine Education Retreat invites you to the heart of Chianti, Tuscany, one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, for a 5 Night immersion into a deep knowledge of wine.

Guided by an accredited WSET instructor and Sommelier, this retreat perfectly balances relaxation and education, culminating in your WSET Level 2 Award in Wines—a globally recognized beginner- to intermediate-level certification from the esteemed Wine & Spirit Education Trust, the gold standard in wine education worldwide.

Outside the classroom, experience the magic of Chianti with a guided vineyard tour and winemaking session, master Tuscan culinary classics in a hands-on cooking class, and wander through charming medieval towns. Connect with a carefully selected group of entrepreneurs and creatives as you increase your wine knowledge while having an Italian getaway.

MASTER WINE IN THE HEART OF THE CHIANTI

  • Chianti is the heart of Tuscany’s winemaking heritage, renowned for its stunning landscapes and centuries-old traditions.

This iconic region, nestled in the rolling hills between Florence and Siena, is the birthplace of Chianti Classico, a wine that has become a global symbol of quality and sophistication. Its winemaking heritage dates back to the Etruscans, with centuries of tradition shaping the robust yet refined flavors that define its world-renowned vintages.

Its landscape is equally captivating: rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves, medieval villages like Greve and Radda, and historic estates that have stood for centuries. Equally as renowned, Tuscany’s rich culinary heritage is rooted in simplicity and seasonality, with dishes here highlighting the flavors of fresh, local ingredients, often sourced directly from the region’s farms and forests, drizzled with fresh Tuscan olive oil.

  • In the heart of Chianti Classico, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, this ancient rural estate has been meticulously transformed into a country house resort.

On the top of a hill; the property is an oasis of peace where you can enjoy Tuscany’s pristine landscapes dotted by ancient farmhouses and rolling greenery.

This family estate is the perfect place for the “slow living” lifestyle, boasting an outdoor swimming pool with panoramic views, a gym, cinema room, jacuzzi, and a set of vineyards for all our WSET class needs.

  • The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is an intermediate certification offered by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), one of the most respected wine education organizations globally. Known for its comprehensive and industry-recognized qualifications, WSET is highly regarded by wine professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Building on the foundational knowledge of Level 1, the Level 2 course delves deeper into the world of wine. It explores the key grape varieties and wine regions of the world, the factors that influence wine style and quality, and the principles of wine production. Participants will also refine their tasting techniques using WSET’s systematic approach, enabling them to identify and evaluate wines with greater precision.

While beginners are welcome to take Level 2 without completing Level 1, a familiarity with wine is recommended to aid in passing the exam.

During this exclusive Nomad Home retreat, participants will be guided by a certified WSET instructor and sommelier, combining expert-led lessons with immersive experiences in one of the world’s most iconic wine regions. At the end of the retreat, guests will have the opportunity to earn their WSET Level 2 Award in Wines by completing a multiple-choice exam.

For those looking for the full beginners wine education journey, we also offer the option to combine this experience with our 3-day WSET Level 1 course immediately before these dates.

  • Charlotte

    CO-FOUNDER of HANDS London

My favourite thing about Nomad Home is being able to connect with a large group of people from all over the world. I usually make friends slowly but when you spend so much time with a group of people, you become extremely close very quickly. That has been rare in my adult life and something I’ll always treasure. I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime - we have already planned a few meetups since.

  • Laurie

    FOUNDER of Outsourceful

Running my own business can get lonely and repetitive at times so it was refreshing to be able to travel, cowork, and bounce ideas with a group of founders. Although many of us were from different countries, it was surprising how much we had in common. I’ve been to multiple Nomad Home events now and the London events were a great way to meet people in my home city. There are 4 of us that met that have already set up monthly dinners; we really left as a family.

  • Andrea

PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER and CONTENT CREATOR

I’ve remote worked for 5 years and found that it’s been difficult to find people that love luxury travel and have a flexible lifestyle. Nomad Home has given me a community to grow together personally and professionally with, when I honestly didn’t realize I could make these deep of connections of my adult life. What’s better is I got to do it while wine tasting and dinner partying.

  • Jesse

CO-FOUNDER of BLA Design Group and FOUNDER of Adessa Visuals

I work a lot, which means I don’t have much time to get away, socialize, or plan travel itineraries. Nomad Home has made it easy for me to just show up, enjoy unique activities and dinner parties that are off the beaten path, and connect with interesting people working on cool projects I would have never met otherwise. It was even better that I got to do all of it while getting my work done.
